It’s safe to say the Yankees want to put their last series behind them as soon as possible. Unfortunately, they won’t get an opportunity to do that today, as their scheduled series opener with the Mets has been postponed following a positive test in the Mets’ camp. The first game is now a wash, and we’ll have to wait and see for the remaining games.
That means that our series preview gets bumped back at least a day, but not to worry — we still have plenty of content for you. John dives into our next trade deadline candidate, the Philadelphia Phillies, while Dan Kelly looks back at the shortly-lived rise of Kevin Maas. Josh reminds us all of why Aaron Judge is still a franchise cornerstone worth extending, and I’ll be answering your questions in the latest mailbag. As always, feel free to use this space as your open thread in the meantime.
