Yankees Highlights: Aaron Judge hits two homers, crushes Red Sox’ spirit

You can’t stop Judge!

MLB: Boston Red Sox at New York Yankees Wendell Cruz-USA TODAY Sports

My heart, it’s still racing. I can’t believe what I just saw. I mean, that game was a blast, amd the Yankees won 9-7, but Aaron Judge. Goodness. He’s all the way back, and I am so unbelievably excited.

We’ll have a full recap up shortly. In the meantime, here are your highlights:

Winner of the Game

Aaron Judge.

That’s it.

That’s the tweet.

What’s that? You want more? Fine. I’m happy to oblige because The Big Baseball Boy is the greatest, and he is ours. Judge went 2-for-5 with two home runs, collecting 5 RBI. He sent those baseballs a combined 887 feet.

Loser of the Game

James Paxton allowed five runs—three earned—in three innings of work on Sunday night. Even worse, he struggled with his velocity, averaging just under 92 mph with his fourseam fastball. The Yankees are counting on Paxton to back up Gerrit Cole, a left-handed compliment as a power pitcher. That’s not going to happen if he can’t get full extension and pump a strong fastball. Here’s hoping he gets back on track, and soon.
