If everything goes according to plan, in eight days, the Yankees will take the field at Nationals Park to open the 2020 season. In the meantime, we’re going to have some fun and call today Unusual Defensive Alignment Day. Josh is going to examine pitchers who can use a four-man outfield, while Dan Kelly does a deep dive on the proposed five-man infield. Elsewhere, John explores which Yankees would make the All-Star team in Baseball-Reference’s OOTP sim, and more.
