Yankees summer camp game thread: Chad Green vs. Jordan Montgomery

We’re back with another Yankees intrasquad game! There figure to only be a few left, as more traditional spring-training style exhibition games open on Saturday. For now though, we’ll stick with the Yankees against the Bombers.

Tonight’s pitching matchup is pretty interesting. Maybe I’m reading too much into the fact that Chad Green is taking the ball opposite Jordan Montgomery, but it makes you wonder if they’re priming Green for another stint as an opener. Masahiro Tanaka probably won’t be ready to join the rotation come Opening Day, so that could lead one to believe the Bombers will go with a bullpen game in place of a fifth starter. Hmm....
