We’ve seen several pitchers get their first shot at live action in camp recently, and now it’s time to get some reps in. Today features a rematch of the first intrasquad pitching matchup, with J.A. Happ going for the Yankees and Clarke Schmidt on the hill for the Bombers.

Happ’s job will be a little unorthodox as the Bombers will continue to use the 10-man lineup they introduced the other day, but the Yankees are returning to an ordinary 9-man lineup. There’s also a decent mix of regulars on both sides of the lineup, so this is a fair challenge to both starters navigating through the order.

As for Schmidt, he made quite an impression in his appearance on Monday. Schmidt has risen quickly up the rankings in the Yankees organization, and it’s because he has the ability to pull the string on big-league hitters like this:

Sanchez is spared from the task of attacking Schmidt’s repertoire again as he’s on his team this time, but we’ll get to see how stars like Aaron Judge, Giancarlo Stanton and Gleyber Torres fare getting a second look at the promising right-hander.

Speaking of the lineups, let’s look at where everyone is batting today:

First pitch is scheduled for 5 p.m. EST, and coverage begins at 4 p.m. on the YES Network.
