Just like that, we’re in July. Today marks the opening of Spring Training part deux, with players due to report to Yankee Stadium. It’s going to be just several weeks of training while players hopefully report healthy and not test positive for coronavirus, but there may be some exhibition games towards the end if some of the northeast teams agree to scrimmage before the season starts.
In the meantime, we’re still rolling out content. Today Tyler starts us out with a primer of what to look for as camp opens up, Dan Carty revisits some of the classic inner-rivalries that have become a part of Yankee lore, Dan Kelly compares the two star sluggers manning first base in New York and Matt enters the 1930s in his OOTP remake of baseball history. Feel free to use this space as your open thread while you wait for those to go live, and stay safe out there.
Fun Questions
1. Which NL East opponent do the Yankees match up best against? How about their worst matchup?
2. Do you have any autographs from Yankees players?
