It’s been 87 days since Major League Baseball announced the suspension of spring training and the delaying of Opening Day. Although no official activities have occurred in quite some time, players throughout the league have continued to keep loose. Let’s check back in and see what some Yankees have been up to.
The many Yankees who posted in support of the Black Lives Matter movement and George Floyd
On June 1, we at Pinstripe Alley created a Twitter thread documenting a statement, post, or message sent out by the players from their social media accounts. Click on the link below and follow the thread!

Happy Mother’s Day from Miguel Andujar and Jasson Dominguez!
May 31 was Mother’s Day in the Dominican Republic. Here, both Miguel Andujar and Jasson Dominguez, the young, top prospect that everyone has heard of, both posted pictures with their mom’s and posted it on Instagram.

Gleyber Torres
Gleyber never disappoints as a familiar face to this weekly series. This time, he showed us his gaming setup while playing Call of Duty: Warzone. Not only is it a sweet little setup, he’s also rocking a Brooklyn Nets Kyrie Irving jersey and his Air Jordan 1s.
Luis Severino
Severino and his wife are expecting their second child. The two went above and beyond for their maternity pictures. They went underwater for a photoshoot and the picture came out amazing!
Clarke Schmidt and Miguel Yajure
It’s prospect time! Schmidt and Yajure both stepped on the mound this past week to throw bullpens. Like usual, Schmidt was locking his opponents up and blowing them away with his fastball.

The 22-year-old Yajure was dotting the corners with his fastball, as well. It’s going to be fun to see these guys in the league soon enough.

Mariano Rivera
Mo took some time this week and recounted his legendary past as he posted a throwback picture on his Instagram of the 1996 Yankees celebrating their World Series win over the Atlanta Braves. The picture of course features Paul O’Neill hilariously tumbling over the top of the pile.
That’s all the updates we have for you today. Check back next week to see more of what the Yankees are doing during their free time!
