We all miss baseball through what has certainly been a difficult and trying time. But it’s not just the homers, strikeouts and double plays that we’re pining for. There’s comfort in the daily routine of turning on a Yankees game and losing yourself for however long your mind requires. It can be ritual as much as entertainment.
One of those rituals within the YES game broadcasts is the trivia. Who doesn’t crave inane questions and cheesy music? I do!
So while we can’t replicate the games, we can offer up some Yankees trivia, in the form of this decidedly low-tech quiz (the answers can be found at the bottom of the page). May it provide a momentary distraction. Ok, cue up the music!

Answer 1: Gary Sanchez hit three homers against the Baltimore Orioles on April 7, 2019 en route to a 15-3 Yankees win.
Answer 2: Thurman Munson had 5.5 bWAR in 1970, and wound up winning AL Rookie of the Year.
Answer 3: David Cone had nine double-digit strikeout performances in 1998.
Answer 4: Derek Jeter had 44.1 bWAR between 2000 and 2009, just ahead of Alex Rodriguez with 41.8.
