New York Daily News | Kristie Ackert: The Yankees got some good news on James Paxton, who is progressing nicely in his return from back surgery. This piece not only updates Paxton’s recovery, but also speculates on his future, which is vague as an impending free agent. Historically injury-prone, but a relatively fresh 31 years old by innings pitched, the team’s decision on Paxton will be interesting, especially with Masahiro Tanaka and potentially J.A. Happ also hitting the open market.

New York Post | Kyle Higashioka: Yeah, you read that right. Higgy himself wrote this piece for the Post. Higashioka detailed how the pandemic has impacted what would have been his first full Major League season. He also dives into what he does in his free time, including an immersive strategy game and an attempt to learn how to speak more Japanese. And, he hinted that he might not be done moonlighting as a writer during these uncertain times.

ESPN | Jeff Passan: We all want to know when we can get back to baseball as soon as possible. In this FAQ-style column, Passan answers a lot of the questions on fans’ minds, such as when and where the season might resume, how it might affect the playoffs, and what a season cancelation would mean for the players, both at the major and minor-league level.
