SNY | Coby Green: MLB Network is going through its positional rankings via The Shredder, and the Yankees’ biggest free agent acquisition in years was near the top of the list. Gerrit Cole came in at No. 3, behind Justin Verlander and Jacob deGrom. Safe to say if Cole pitches like he did from May through the end of the 2019 season this year, he’ll find himself at the top of this list next winter. | Randy Miller: You’ve heard plenty about the Yankees’ can’t-miss young prospect Jasson Dominguez, but now 19-year-old Oswald Peraza was revealed to have just missed inclusion among MLB Pipeline’s top 100 prospects in baseball this year. Peraza has slashed .273/.350/.346 in three minor league seasons, but MLB Pipeline seems to think Peraza’s potential far exceeds his past output. | Mike Rosenstein: The Yankees and Red Sox reportedly will work together this summer, putting on a showcase game for amateur players at Fenway Park in July in honor of the late coach John Altobelli, who died in the tragic helicopter crash that killed Kobe Bryant and eight others. Altobelli coached a number of MLB players, including the Yankees’ Aaron Judge, and the Mets’ Jeff McNeil.
