SNY | Scott Thompson: New Yankees ace Gerrit Cole will be joining Luis Severino, forming a 1-2 punch among the best in the league. The two of them will head a rotation that will feature — when healthy, of course — James Paxton, Masahiro Tanaka, and some combination of J.A. Happ, Domingo German, Jordan Montgomery, and others.

SNY | John Harper: Despite the lofty expectations that the Yankees have entering the 2020 season, numerous questions still surround the team, ranging from the performance of big-ticket stars like Gerrit Cole and Giancarlo Stanton, to intriguing prospects such as Deivi Garcia, and young players with no apparent role, like Clint Frazier and Miguel Andujar. How will these questions, and others, be resolved? We’re about to find out.

New York Post | Mark Fischer: It took several days, but the Red Sox have finally traded their star right fielder and pitcher for the second century in a row, trading Mookie Betts and David Price to the Dodgers. In return, they received not only, as previously reported, Alex Verdugo, but also now Jeter Downs, the Dodgers’ fifth best prospect, and catcher Connor Wong.
