Greetings! We’re almost through to the end of the week, and the Yankees passed a major hurdle last night with their non-tender decisions (farewell, Jonathan Holder). On this Thursday, Joe explains why the Yankees were justified in keeping Gary Sánchez, Matt previews Masahiro Tanaka as a free agent, Peter grades Gleyber Torres’ topsy-turvy season, and Andrés examines an unheralded reliever who could make an intriguing signing: lefty Andrew Chafin.

Fun Questions

  1. Of the many notable players who were non-tendered yesterday, who would you most want to see the Yankees pursue? Kyle Schwarber, Archie Bradley, Eddie Rosario, Adam Duvall, and David Dahl are just a few of the names to consider.
  2. How do you prepare your perfect peanut butter & jelly sandwich? My go-to method is spreading creamy peanut butter on both sides and about a spoon and a half of raspberry jelly in the middle. I’m not opposed to dabbling around, but that’s my standard.
