Hey folks, hope you enjoyed the last weekend of 2020. I’m not generally someone that gets caught up in the significance of it being a new year as some sort of seismic shift, but considering the year we’ve all had, any positive energy that can be had from this is thoroughly appreciated. Hopefully the Yankees feel some sort of shift when the calendar turns, and we can get some significant deals done. After all, the AL East that the team woke up to suddenly looks very different.
Today on the site, we’ve got the weekly mailbag request on deck. On top of that, Dan and Peter have free agent targets set on Darren O’Day and Alex Colomé, respectively. If it’s going to be a reliever signing that gets things rolling for the Yankees, we’ll have every angle covered. Finally, Andrew shares his thoughts on how the Blake Snell trade changes the landscape in the American League.
Fun Questions
1. What was your reaction to last night’s sudden Blake Snell to the Padres trade?
2. Does the price that Snell commanded make you think the Yankees can deal for one of the other hyped pitchers on the trade market?
