We have kept you posted on what the Yankees have been up to on social media ever since baseball shut down back in March. Although the baseball season is over, we’ll still provide weekly updates on what your favorite Yankees do when they’re not on the diamond!
DJ LeMahieu using Aaron Judge’s bat
This past week, top free agent DJ LeMahieu posted a picture where he took some swings with Aaron Judge’s bat. Being one of the best players in pinstripes over the last two years, “The Machine” is a prized player. It’s been a slow offseason thus far, but Brian Cashman did say that the “intent” is there for LeMahieu.

Luke Voit
The Yankees first baseman posted a picture with his younger brother, who plays football for Army. When Gerrit Cole joined the Yankees, Voit changed his number to 59 after his brother. A cool gesture there by the Voit brothers.
Jordan Montgomery
During the offseason, players obviously have a lot of free time. Monty is working on his golf game, which is definitely better than mine. A chip right near the pin...nothing more you can ask for if you’re golfing.
CC Sabathia drops a trailer for his documentary
The former Yankees southpaw has a documentary coming out on December 22 about his life and career. Here’s a little snippet of the doc, and it looks amazing! Looking forward to watching this later in the month.
The end of my story doesn’t mean anything if you don’t know everything that came before it. This is CC, in my own words.

Nestor Cortes announces that he’s back with the Bombers
The lefty pitcher, who was with the Yanks in 2019, has announced that he’s going to be back in pinstripes next season. He was used as both a starter and reliever with New York in 2019 with a 5.67 ERA over 66.2 innings pitched. He was with the Mariners in 2020, but only tossed 7.2 frames for Seattle. It will be interesting to see what role he’ll have with the team next season.
