New York Post | George A King: One of the biggest MLB rumors of the week has been the possibility that the Rays would deal Blake Snell. The 28-year-old has three fairly cheap years remaining on his contract, but the Rays, always looking for ways to get cheaper without damaging their roster too much, are apparently considering moving Snell to lessen their payroll load. King posits the Yankees could dramatically alter the balance of power in the AL East by putting Deivi García on the table and making an offer for Snell.

ESPN | Sam Miller: Andy Pettitte’s name is on the Hall of Fame ballot once again, and Miller makes a compelling case for the former Yankee left-hander. Pettitte’s candidacy has long been considered borderline, and voters were not even lukewarm regarding his case last year, when he garnered just 11-percent of the vote, far short of the 75-percent requirement.

NJ.com | Randy Miller: Reports have emerged that the Dodgers have some interest in DJ LeMahieu, particularly if Justin Turner leaves as a free agent. Turner’s potential departure could leave LA a little shallow in the infield and in right-handed power, a pair of weaknesses LeMahieu would obviously help remedy.
