With only hours to go before their decisive showdown with the Rays, the Yankees have announced their lineup for Game Five. Unsurprisingly, there aren’t many changes, with Aaron Boone deciding to roll with what’s been working.
With Tyler Glasnow starting, and a rested Rays bullpen looming, the Yankees need their lineup ready to go at full strength. That includes Aaron Judge, who has gone 3-for-27 with two home runs (36 wRC+) this postseason. Similarly, a boost from Gio Urhsela, who is 5-for-24 (58 wRC+) in the playoffs, could go a long way for the Bombers.
The resurgent Brett Gardner and Kyle Higashioka, Cole’s personal catcher, round out the bottom of the order.

I could definitely go for a few first-inning runs. DJ LeMahieu getting on for a Judge blast? Sounds pretty great to me, don’t you think? Giving Gerrit Cole any kind of a lead makes for a best-case scenario.
