MLB: Game One-New York Yankees at Tampa Bay Rays Douglas DeFelice-USA TODAY Sports

In so many ways, this matchup felt inevitable. The Yankees and Rays, two of the strongest teams in the American League, built under radically different philosophies, and with no love lost between them, facing off in the ALDS. The Rays took the season series in convincing fashion, going 8-2 against the Bombers, but the past is prologue. It’s a clean slate, starting tonight at Petco Park.

Tonight’s pitching matchup is a treat for fans, as Gerrit Cole will square off against Blake Snell. Power against power, an ace-off, no matter what term you prefer, it should be a blast. Hard to find a better marquee matchup than that.

Pinstripe Alley will have around the clock coverage of today’s game, with plenty of great previews. In the meantime, here’s how you can watch the first of many ridiculous bouts in this ALDS.
