Yankees’ ALDS opener will be in primetime, obviously; Kevin Kiermaier heats up the rivalry again; Jeopardy! contestants flop on Yankee category.

NorthJersey.com | John Connely: The start time for game one of the ALDS between the Yankees and Rays has been announced, and it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise. First pitch is scheduled for 8:07 p.m., as the Yanks will once again be featured in primetime.

New York Post | George A. King III: The ALDS will be highlighted by the ever-intensifying rivalry between the Yankees and Rays, and Tampa’s Kevin Kiermaier told reporters on Friday that he and the Rays haven’t forgotten about Aroldis Chapman’s fastball that buzzed past Mike Brosseau’s head on Sept. 1. The intent on that pitch is still very questionable, but it added to the bad blood between these two teams, who will fight for a spot in the ALCS this coming week.

Sports Illustrated | Jenna West: Does anyone else get super excited when a sports category comes up on Jeopardy!? Well, the contestant’s on Thursday night’s episode of Jeopardy! were not excited to see the Yankee Stadium category, striking out after the first clue which asked who hit the first home run at the old stadium. If this was the first category and any of us were on the show, we’d likely hold a lead! At least for a minute or two...
