NJ.com | Randy Miller: Trade rumors surrounding Mookie Betts have heated up as of late. Shipping him out of the AL East would benefit the Yankees by making not only the Red Sox weaker, but also the division. That could lead to more wins for New York and help them obtain home-field advantage throughout the postseason.

NYPost.com | Peter Botte: An Astros fan spent upwards of 50 hours re-watching games from the 2017 season and calculated the amount of “bangs” he heard. He downloaded 8,274 opposing pitches from 58 games and found evidence of a banging sound on nearly 14% of them (1,143). He put all of his collected information on his website and even created graphs as visual representations.

NJ.com | Mike Rosenstein: Former Yankee outfielder Cameron Maybin may be headed to the National League. Reports have said that the Pittsburgh Pirates have expressed interested in the 32-year-old outfielder. Maybin hit .285 with 11 home runs with New York in 2019.
