Yankees fans are still aggravated over the trade deadline, apparently

This week’s FanPulse shows fans are still ticked, even if the team keeps winning.

Welcome to SB Nation FanPulse, a survey of fans across MLB. Each week, we send 30 polls to plugged in fans from each team. Yankees fans, sign up HERE to join FanPulse.

Have you noticed something? The Yankees are undefeated since the trade deadline. Not only have the won every game since July 31, they’ve bludgeoned their opponents. It’s been a massacre. The team shrugged off—or, for Cameron Maybin, hugged off—the inaction and piled up the wins.

Fans, however, haven’t had an easy time with it apparently. Despite the winning streak, confidence in the team’s direction remains at 73%. How? This graphic may explain some things.

It boggles the mind. I was as disappointed about the deadline as anyone, but this team is rolling. Onward and upward for the 2019 Yankees.

Aaron Boone meanwhile continues to make incremental gains in the manager approval polling. He climbed from 83% last week to 85% today. Given all of the injuries, he deserves the recognition.

As for this week’s national poll, respondents believed the Astros had the best deadline. They probably did, too, but whatever. The Yankees will just have to find a way to beat them.
