You know what’s better than sweeping the Red Sox? Sweeping the Red Sox and sweeping the Orioles, then kicking off another series with a victory. The Yankees kept their winning streak alive tonight with a 12-6 win in Toronto over the Blue Jays. They’ve now won nine games in a row! We’ll have a full recap up later. Here are the highlights:
Winner of the Game
Gio Urshela has been incredible this year. He started tonight’s game with not just one home run off of Thomas Pannone, but two. And to think, the Yankees acquired him from the Blue Jays last year for cash considerations.

Honorable Mention: Mike Tauchman, Cameron Maybin
Loser of the Game
Domingo German was cruising along until he wasn’t. After four scoreless innings, he gave up a leadoff dinger to Derek Fisher. That was followed by a ground-rule double off the bat of Reese McGuire, and a Bo Bichette home run. A fourth run scored before the inning ended. It’d be nice to see him get the home runs in check—his HR/9 is approaching 2.
