Okay, I’m sold. I need a Yankees-Dodgers World Series. These two teams are so evenly matched. Every game would be a nail-biter. I need you to make this happen, baseball universe.
Anyway, the Bombers took the series with a 5-1 victory. We’ll have a full recap up later tonight, but in the meantime, enjoy some highlights:
Winner of the Game
There are many worthy candidates, including the trio who homered off Clayton Kershaw, but Domingo German has to take home the honors. The right-hander faced a dangerous Dodgers lineup and held it to one run over six innings. He walked two and struck out five. Sure, he had moments where he worked himself into trouble, but German never bent. Considering the opponent, this has to be one his finest starts of the season.
Honorable Mention: DJ LeMahieu, Aaron Judge, Mike Ford
Loser of the Game
Nobody loses tonight. Let’s end the weekend on the positive note, shall we? Take these good vibes with you for Monday.
