New York Post | Ken Davidoff: We can debate what should have been done all day, but the fact of the matter is that the Yankees’ starting pitching situation is not the best. However, there could be a potential road map to competing with the best rotations in baseball when the postseason comes.

New York Post | Andrew Marchand: Michael Kay returned to the YES broadcast booth over the weekend. Dealing with voice and vocal cord issues is a big deal for someone who needs them for his line of work, and Kay was and is understandably concerned. The situation he describes while he was out does not sound fun.

New York Post | Mark Fischer: Pitching prospect Deivi Garcia was excellent in triple-A on Saturday, and did so out of the bullpen. While the reason for that doesn’t necessarily have anything to do with a call-up, his performance does have people wondering if the Yankees will bring him up when rosters expand in September.

NJ.com | Chris Ryan: We already know the schedule for the 2020 MLB season, but now we know the key dates for spring training as well. The Yankees will open their spring season on February 22nd against the Blue Jays.

KRON4 | Erica Pieschke: In extremely nice news, CC Sabathia was in his hometown on Monday handing out backpacks to local children. The Yankees are in Oakland in what could be the final trip to the area where Sabathia grew up in his career, although he will not start during the series.
