This series started off poorly, but the Yankees evened things out last night. Today, James Paxton will get the start opposite of Zach Plesac. Big Maple’s struggles this season—particularly in the first inning—have been well documented, but he has pitched better of late. Over his last 18.2 innings pitched, he surrendered just six earned runs and notched 20 strikeouts. Granted, two of those starts came against the Orioles. We should know early what kind of day it will be for him.

Plesac has only been in the majors since May, and this will be his second time facing the Yankees. The first time they met up, he held them to just two runs across seven innings. The right-hander owns a 3.27 ERA (5.04 FIP), and doesn’t get many strikeouts (6.55 K/9). He is coming off of a five-inning start against Boston, where he allowed three runs.

Here are the lineups:

The game starts at 1:05 ET and you can catch it on YES Network, MLBN, or stream it on FuboTV. You can also listen to the action on WFAN and WADO.
