The Yankees’ winning streak snapped yesterday, and today they started a losing streak. Although they exchanged blows with the Blue Jays and took the lead late, they just weren’t able to hold onto it. It was about time that a bullpen day didn’t work out for them. We’ll have a full recap up later. Here are the highlights in the meantime:
Winner of the Game
Gio Urshela is still blazing hot! The infielder launched a two-run bomb in the sixth to tie up the game. That marked his 17th home run of the season, and his sixth in August.

Honorable Mention: Gary Sanchez
Loser of the Game
The Yankees entered the bottom of the seventh with a one-run lead. Unfortunately, Adam Ottavino was unable to protect it. With one out and two on, he surrendered a bases-clearing triple to Vladimir Guerrero Jr that was just fair. Bad outings happen sometimes, but very infrequently for Ottavino this season.
Honorable Mention: Stephen Tarpley, Chance Adams
