Welcome to SB Nation FanPulse, a survey of fans across MLB. Each week, we send 30 polls to plugged in fans from each team. Yankees fans, sign up HERE to join FanPulse.

The Yankees and Rays finish off the first half with a four-game set at the Trop. This series finds the Yankees coasting in atop of the division, with the Rays fighting to get back in it. That dynamic is reflected in this week’s FanPulse standings.

For the second week in a row, 91% of respondents said they approve of the direction in which the Yankees are heading. As for the Rays, fan confidence dropped from 94% to 82% after a rough series against the Twins. They did bounce back against the Rangers, but the week still led to a 12% drop.

When it comes to manager approval, Aaron Bone has plateaued at 81%. Rays fans meanwhile think highly of Kevin Cash. In a down week, he’s polling at 97%. Over the course of the season, he routinely rattled off 100% marks.

This week’s national question has to do with the All-Star Game. It turns out that a majority of fans believe each team should have a designated representative.

I tend to disagree, but I understand why fans would want their favorite teams to get an All-Star nod.
