Injury updates on Cameron Maybin, Giancarlo Stanton, and more; Aaron Judge talks about Hall of Fame Yankees; How the Yankees dealt with heat; Mo and Moose go into the Hall

Toronto Blue Jays v New York Yankees Photo by Jim McIsaac/Getty Images | Brian Fonseca: It’s time for the customary injury update, but this time, there’s some good news! Cameron Maybin will go to Triple-A Scranton on a rehab assignment starting Tuesday, while Aaron Boone shared positive updates on Dellin Betances and Luis Severino – they are both scheduled to throw off a mound in early August. However, things aren’t going well for Giancarlo Stanton. He is still not doing baseball activities after suffering a knee injury.

SNY | Scott Thompson: Although Aaron Judge didn’t play with Mariano Rivera or Mike Mussina, he certainly admired them growing up. Speaking at his charity softball game, Judge told reporters what he respected about Mo and Moose, and doubled down on endorsing CC Sabathia’s Hall of Fame case.

Trentonian | Kyle Franko: The heat wave didn’t just affect the Yankees this weekend – their Double-A affiliate, the Trenton Thunder, also had to deal with an excessive heat warning. Their trainer explains how he keeps his players refreshed here, in a field not aided with an air conditioned dugout.

Yahoo! Sports | Blake Schuster: Finally, in case you missed it, you can catch up on yesterday’s Hall of Fame induction ceremonies here. You can see Mike Mussina and Mariano Rivera’s plaques here, as well as experience the best moments of their acceptance speeches.
