With a win today, the Yankees will complete a three-game sweep of the Rockies to finish up this 10 game homestand. James Paxton will be on the bump for this Sunday matinee. He is 5-4 with a 3.94 ERA on the year, and has recorded a quality start in his last three appearances.

Brett Gardner was a late scratch in the lineup. Aaron Boone said Gardy is having some left knee soreness, but he’s not too concerned. Mike Tauchman will take his spot over in left field. After taking a pitch off the face yesterday, noted savage, Luke Voit, is starting at first base this afternoon.

The Bombers will be up against the righty German Marquez. He has not been great in 2019. He owns a 5.12 ERA and is coming off the worst start of his career as he allowed 11 runs in 2.2 innings. Colorado, as a team, has been playing very poorly of late. In the their last 10 games, they have been outscored by 45 runs and their pitchers sport a 8.90 ERA, all leading to a 2-8 record over that span. Here’s who they are running out to try and salvage the final game in the Bronx:

The game can be seen on YES or TBS, streamed on FuboTV, and heard on WFAN or WADO. First pitch is at 1:05!
