Welcome to SB Nation FanPulse, a survey of fans across MLB. Each week, we send 30 polls to plugged in fans from each team. Yankees fans, sign up HERE to join FanPulse.

The 2019 MLB trade deadline sits at just 19 days away. Is it just me or does it feel like it’s been relatively quiet on the trade front? The single deadline was supposed to spur deals, but it may have helped freeze the market. We’ll see if things shake up in the days and weeks ahead.

A few names find themselves in repeated rumors, though, and they’re the subject of this week’s national FanPulse poll. Among the conceivably available starting pitchers, Indians right-hander Trevor Bauer stands out as the top target.

The Yankees scouted Bauer last weekend, so they have some level of interest. I’m not sure he fits the team, though, for reasons both on and off the field.

When it comes to this week’s team polls, the Yankees have slipped a little. Overall team confidence dropped from 91% to 85%, while Aaron Boone’s approval rating fell from 81% to 79%. Losing two games in Tampa Bay apparently does a number on fans’ trust in the team. Go figure.
