SNY: The MLB All-Star Game is right around the corner, and the Yankees’ reps are finalized – Aroldis Chapman will join Gary Sanchez and DJ LeMahieu in Cleveland for the midsummer classic. Gleyber Torres and Luke Voit were notable omissions, but the Yankees will still have three worthy reps (including two starters) at the game’s biggest showcase.
New York Daily News | Kristie Ackert: We knew yesterday that Luis Severino suffered yet another setback, but Brian Cashman offered more details today, and they’re worthy of shaking your head over. Cashman basically admitted that Severino started throwing before he was fully healthy, and that in hindsight they should have played it more slowly. New York Post | George King: Although Chapman was just announced as an MLB All-Star yesterday, we’ve known that Gary Sanchez and DJ LeMahieu were All-Star starters since Thursday night. Sanchez and LeMahieu spoke about the honors, and what specifically enabled their unique turnarounds this season.
