Welcome to SB Nation FanPulse, a survey of fans across MLB. Each week, we send 30 polls to plugged in fans from each team. Yankees fans, sign up HERE to join FanPulse.

Earlier this week, the Yankees made prep shortstop Anthony Volpe their first-round pick in the MLB Draft. The Vanderbilt commit plays solid defense, has a quality hit tool, and comes with tremendous makeup. A number of evaluators thought he would go in the second round, but the Bombers liked him enough to grab him with the 30th overall pick.

As it turns out, many fans think the front office made a good call.

Outside of the draft, confidence in manager Aaron Boone stands at a season-high 87%. Team confidence has also peaked at 94%. Fans appear quite happy when it comes to the way the season is playing out.

At the national level, only 60% of respondents think MLB should extend protective netting.

That decision seems like such a no-brainer, I’m surprised 40% of those polled said no.
