It has been a busy baseball day. Rounds three through ten of the 2019 MLB Draft wrapped up earlier, then the Yankees kicked off a three-game set against the Blue Jays in Toronto. Unfortunately, one bad inning cost them the game. We’ll have a full recap up in a bit. Here are some highlights in the meantime.

Winner of the Game

If you somehow missed it earlier in the week, Clint Frazier chose not to speak to the press after one of the weekend Red Sox games. The decision, which came after numerous defensive miscues, made headlines. After yesterday’s off day, today was his first game back on the field. He hit a two-run bomb in the fourth inning to give the Yankees what ended up being a short-lived lead.

Honorable Mention: Aaron Hicks

Loser of the Game

This always seems to be the story with Masahiro Tanaka: he was cruising until he wasn’t. After four scoreless innings, the fifth got away from him. Randal Grichuk hit a leadoff home run, Freddy Galvis hit a two-run bomb, and Vlad Guerrero Jr. hit a two-out RBI to give the Blue Jays a lead that they never surrendered.
