Day two of the 2019 MLB Draft has drawn to a close. In the 10th round, the Yankees selected Mitch Spence. The six-foot-one, 185 pound right-handed pitcher went 315th overall. This was the Bombers’ final pick for the day.

Spence pitched to a 3.95 ERA over 93.1 innings for the University of South Carolina Aiken. According to the Pacers website, Spencer tossed eight innings in the PBC Tournament, where he struck out 10 batters. Baseball America did not ranked him number in their top 500 catalog. He also did not appear on MLB Pipeline’s top 200 list.

That will do it for our draft news today. We’ll have a post asking for grades on the picks a little later on tonight. Then we’ll be back tomorrow at noon for the final day of draft coverage.
