Welcome to SB Nation FanPulse, a survey of fans across MLB. Each week, we send 30 polls to plugged in fans from each team. Yankees fans, sign up HERE to join FanPulse.

The Yankees and Red Sox are miles away in London, preparing for a two-game set across the pond. Their fanbases, however, are miles apart in terms of team confidence.

In this week’s FanPulse voting, 91% of respondents said they approve of the direction in which the Yankees are heading. That’s up from 84% last week. Now compare that to Red Sox fans, where only 40% have confidence in the team’s direction. That number represents a season low for Boston.

As for manager approval numbers, those have held steady across the board. Aaron Boone sits at 81%, up one point from last week, while Alex Cora stood pat 77%.

This week’s national poll asked about financing stadiums, and a rare consensus formed.

Subsidizing stadiums with taxpayer money? That’s not a popular idea around here.
