The New York Yankees won a wild back-and-forth game against the Houston Astros last night by a score of 7-5. With the win, they increased their winning streak to a season-high eight games, and they now sit 22 games over .500. Gio Urshela’s long ball in the fifth tied the Bombers’ franchise-record for consecutive games with a home run, 25. A homer today will break the 1941 Yankees’ record.

New York is 6-0 on the homestead thus far and will try to make it seven this afternoon. Giancarlo Stanton will get the day off and J.A. Happ will be on the mound.

Houston ace, Justin Verlander will try to help his team avoid the sweep. The Astros have lost their last seven games. It’s their longest such streak since 2015.
