After taking the first two games of the series, the Yankees will look to complete the three-game sweep of the second-place Rays. With a win, New York would move 3.5 games ahead of Tampa Bay, and four games ahead in the loss column.

Didi Gregorius and Giancarlo Stanton will both get the day off. Cameron Maybin will patrol right field, while Gleyber Torres will take short. With a homer today, Maybin would become just the 10th Yankee in history to go yard in five consecutive games.

CC Sabathia will also get his fourth crack to win his 250th career game.

The sweep, however, won’t come easy for the Bombers. They will take on reigning Cy Young Award winner, Blake Snell. He is 4-5 with a 3.70 ERA and 3.03 FIP in 2019. In his two starts combined against the Yankees this year, he’s pitched 11.2 innings, giving up just three earned runs and striking out 21. Here’s the lineup that will be behind him:

The Yankees will attempt to go for their 22nd straight game with a home run. The franchise record is 25 by the 1941 team. New York will also seek to stretch their winning streak to five games heading into a crucial series with the Houston Astros.

The game can be seen on YES, or you can listen on WFAN and WADO. First pitch is at 1:05 PM EST. Let’s bring out the brooms!
