Start your week off with an open thread.

It’s been a strange week or so. The Yankees have played uneven baseball against lesser teams, and they just shocked us all with the out-of-nowhere acquisition of Edwin Encarnacion. Things should be trending up, though, as they managed to salvage a split by winning the last two games of their series with the White Sox, and Giancarlo Stanton is slated to return tomorrow night.

Tonight marks the start of an exciting matchup with the rival Rays. Masahiro Tanaka gets the start at 7:05 EST. See you there.

Fun Questions

  1. How would you order Yankees’ power right-handed bats, Aaron Judge, Giancarlo Stanton, Luke Voit, Gary Sanchez, and Edwin Encarnacion, in the lineup when they’re all healthy? Does it even matter?
  2. Have any thoughts on the other hot sports events of the weekend? Anthony Davis going to the Lakers, or Gary Woodland winning the U.S. Open?
