The Chicago White Sox were clicking on all cylinders tonight. They scored 10 runs and routed the Yankees by a score of 10-2. Lucas Giolito continued his dominance as he went six innings, struck out six, and recorded his league-leading 10th victory on the season.
Giolito made just one mistake all night and Luke Voit made him pay for it. Voit drove a ball to center that bounced on top of the wall and went over for a home run. It was not only his 17th on the season, but also the 17th straight game in which the Yankees went yard. This has happened only two other times in Yankees history, and this is the first time since 1961.

CC Sabathia did not pitch well at all. It would be safe to say he was CC SaBADthia. He was roughed up early and fast. The White Sox brought nine runners up to the plate and tallied four runs in just the first inning. Eloy Jimenez blasted a homer to center to put the White Sox up 3-1. Yolmer Sanchez added the fourth run as he singled home Welington Castillo.
Chicago would not stop there. With Tim Anderson on second base, Jose Abreu laced a double into the left center gap to give his team a four-run lead. Sabathia would rebound by escaping the third and fourth without surrendering a run. However, he would give up two singles in the fifth and that would be all for CC. 4.2 innings, six runs and ten hits is his final line. In his last four starts, he has been tagged for 30 hits, six long balls and owns a horrid 6.97 ERA in that span.
Luis Cessa recorded the last out of the fifth and pitched the sixth. He would give up four earned runs that included Eloy Jimenez’s second bomb of the game. It was no cheap shot either!

The Yanks would add their second run in garbage time and eventually lose the ballgame by eight runs. Every starter for the White Sox had at least one hit and the Yankees didn’t do anything right. It was bad. Really bad.
Chad Green will start the game three tomorrow as the “opener.” Reynaldo Lopez will start for Chicago. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 PM EST.
