After a month where everything seemed to go right for the Yankees, June brought back a cold dose of reality. The team went 2-4 on a road trip, and that situated itself in a longer stretch of losing ball. Factor in an injury to Domingo German and whiffing on Dallas Keuchel, and then you have a frustrated fanbase.

Consider this week’s Aaron Boone approval poll:

Boone dropped from a season-high 87% to 72%. The overall team confidence crashed from 94% to 75%. It will be interesting to see if that downturn continues this week or if the numbers start to stabilize.

In this week’s national poll, SB Nation asked respondents how they feel about Rob Manfred. It turns out fans have a chilly response towards the MLB Commissioner.

For some reason I’m not terribly surprised about these results.
