Last night’s game was miserable, but the good news is that the team can pretty much only improve today. They still have a chance to take the series victory from Seattle. J.A. Happ gets the nod for the Yankees. It had looked like he had figured it out, but he was back to his old tricks against the Twins last weekend, surrendering four runs and two home runs. Hopefully he can bounce back today.
Mike Leake will finish the series up for the Mariners. He gave up three runs during his last outing against Cleveland. The righty has already given up 11 home runs this season, good for 2.45 HR/9. That could bode well for the Bombers.
First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 ET. You can catch the game on WPIX, or listen via WFAN or WADO.
We'll look to wrap up this series with a win.
