MLB.com | Bryan Hoch: I want you to keep in mind that this was written before tonight’s game. Gio Urshela is not going anywhere, folks. You don’t need any fancy-schmancy stats to see that he is better than Miguel Andujar at the third base defense. With Miggy’s injury, Urshela has had the chance to Urshine-a in his absence. His game-tying ninth-inning dinger probably helped cement his position on this team going forward. I’m sure Andujar will get playing time at third base when Gary Sanchez needs to DH, but yeah. Yeahhhhh.
Newsday | David Lennon: Before we get into this article, let’s take a look at this tweet from Lindsey Adler:
Yankees win on a walk-off, 5-4. The 9th inning’s key players were Gio Urshela, Cameron Maybin, and DJ LeMahieu.

That’s where the Yankees are right now and by golly, it’s working. The Yankees roster is currently duct taped to keep the back bumper from falling off and it’s still driving. They have weathered the storm and will soon be getting injured players back. Well, we’ll see about Troy Tulowitzki. In any case, major props to Brian Cashman for his moves and Aaron Boone for keeping this team on the winning road.
New York Post | Andrew Marchand: CC Sabathia is playing his last year in pinstripes. This is sad. I am sad. However, the big man has plans and ideas for what he’d like to do after the season. He wants to remain with the Yankees in some fashion, whether in the front office or potentially behind a mic calling games with Ryan Ruocco. I would love the latter. Oh, and no suits for CC. Nope.
Cut4 | Chris Landers: Finally, Giancarlo Stanton is a New York Yankee. He’ll hopefully be back soon. For now, please enjoy this tour of NYC lifestyle with Giancarlo serving as your guide. That’s it, really.
