The Yankees head into today’s action with a 36-19 record — the third-best mark in MLB. They lead Tampa Bay by 0.5 games and Boston by 7.5 games in the AL East race. New York sends J.A. Happ to the hill to face off against Red Sox ace Chris Sale

Happ won three of his last four starts, while the Yankees emerged victorious in all four contests. The 36-year-old left-hander allowed three runs on just four hits during his last outing in Kansas City. He owns a 5.09 ERA with a 5.38 FIP on the season.

Sale has been inconsistent so far in 2019. He sports a 4.19 ERA (3.61 FIP) over 62.1 innings. The southpaw allowed four runs (two earned) on three hits during his last start in Houston.
