Clint Frazier’s time in right field has been shaky, to say the least, this season. His poor catching ability has rivaled Miguel Andujar’s rough time at third base last year. Like Andujar, however. Frazier has shown a valuable bat that has come alive of late.
In the latest episode of the Bomber Brothers podcast, Katie Sharp joined the show to explain that while Frazier’s defense has been among the worst in baseball among outfielders, his bat has still been enough to make him a plus-player overall. His sprint speed is above average and his arm is a strength, but it’s just his catching ability that needs a lot of work.
Sharp also discussed plenty of other Yankee topics, like the regression of Domingo German, and while BABIP and home runs per fly ball suggest that German may have been the beneficiary of good fortune earlier in the season, he still has the stuff to get back to the numbers that made him so great earlier in the season.
Sharp also discussed Yankee teams of the past, and how they fared after getting off to a start as successful as the one the Yankees are on right now. For that and much more, check out the link below!
