NY Post: The Yankees have another injury to report, and in other news, there is a delay on the Cross Bronx Expressway. Jake Barrett is off to the IL with elbow inflammation, retroactive to Thursday, and Joe Harvey was called up in his place. Barrett’s injury makes it 15 Yankees on the IL, which seems just about normal at this point.
NJ.com | Brendan Kuty: The MLB Draft is quickly approaching, which means the Dallas Keuchel sweepstakes are heating up. A report from Ken Rosenthal says that the lefty free agent is expected to sign very shortly after the draft, meaning the Yankees will have to act quickly if they want to shore up a rotation that has been hampered by injury.
New York Post | Dan Martin On the good news side of the injury front, it appears Didi Gregorius is inching closer and closer to a return. After going 0-for-3 with High-A Tampa on Saturday, Gregorius is off to Scranton soon to join the RailRiders for what is expected to be a one or two week stint. After that, postgame victory tweets are back!
NorthJersey.com | Pete Caldera: More potential promising news for the battered Yankees, as lefty James Paxton felt good after throwing this weekend and will meet with team doctors to determine if he can rejoin the rotation as soon as Wednesday. Given how many innings are on the arms of the remaining healthy pitchers, any help would be gratefully received.
