The Yankees still can’t catch a break with the weather. Tonight’s series opener against the Royals has been postponed, reports Bryan Hoch. The game will be made up as part of a split-admission doubleheader tomorrow.
This postponement still doesn’t help the Yankees with their pitching shortage. The team will still need to use a bullpen game, with Chad Green and Jakob Junis scheduled for game one. J.A. Happ and Danny Duff are set to take the night portion.
With tonight’s rainout, the Yankees will have had three postponements in the span of 11 days. Hopefully the weather cooperates sometime soon.
Update (9:15 PM): J.A. Happ is now scheduled for game one. We’ll see if the team does opt for a bullpen game (curious during a doubleheader) or shifts the rotation around.
