Having reached the quarter-mark of the season, it makes sense to look back on how the Yankees performed. Heading into Wednesday’s doubleheader, the team owned a 24-16 record. The club also fielded a star-studded injured list, one that ran a mile long. Replacement players came and went, but one thread held constant and deserves credit for the success: Aaron Boone.

Yankees fans were quick to sour on Boone in 2019, especially after his tough ALDS. Injuries and a stretch of poor play toppled his approval mark to just 34% in Week Four. He rebounded nicely, however, and currently owns a 71% favorable rating.

While he has a ways to go to catch up to his season-opening 84%, it’s clear fans appreciate his work. Boone deserves a lot of credit for managing the squad to a playoff position.

This week’s national question has to do with the length of games.

Too slow? Maybe. But fans overwhelmingly agree that games don’t need shortening.
