In the battle of good versus evil, Luke Voit topples Evil Luke Voit

The inaugural episode of the new Pinstripe Alley podcast hits everything from best play of the week to whether or not Tommy Kahnle’s success is Red Bull-dependent

MLB: Seattle Mariners at New York Yankees Noah K. Murray-USA TODAY Sports

In the inaugural episode of Monument Talk, the new Yankees podcast from SB Nation and Pinstripe Alley, hosts Kenny Crocker and Matt Demayo discuss Yusei Kikuchi’s possible pine tar situation (0:41), Domingo German as the ace (2:30), and the ground-breaking Taco Bell window at the Dugout across from the Stadium (8:06).

The hosts then move on to handing out the weekly awards, leading off with the “Big Bastad” Award (17:20), which fictional baseball players should join the team (31:50), and finally the coveted Shirsey of the Week (39:11).

As the newest podcast to the SB Nation family, Monument Talk will be dedicated to breaking down the activity of the previous week on and off the field for the Yankees. Focused more on the culture of the team, it will cover the news, some of the best and worst plays of the week, and who will be earning one of seven weekly trophies. Tune in for some Yankees banter, a few laughs, and the occasional theorizing about the inverse ratio between Tommy Kahnle’s success and his Red Bull consumption.
