Welcome to SB Nation FanPulse, a survey of fans across MLB. Each week, we send 30 polls to plugged in fans from each team. Yankees fans, sign up HERE to join FanPulse.

The West Coast trip went about as well as it could, right? Flying across the country with a depleted lineup and managing a winning record? It’s hard to complain about that!

Yankees fans seem to agree, because their confidence continues to rise. Among FanPulse respondents, 81% of those polled are happy with the direction of the team. That’s the second highest mark since surveying began before Opening Day. Last week’s number stood at 53%, so this represents a noticeable swing.

Fans also seem to have lightened up with Aaron Boone. His approval rating jumped to 69% after checking in at 44% last week. Give him credit for guiding a group of replacement players to a winning record.

As for this week’s national poll, fans have high expectations for Vladimir Guerrero Jr. I hope he has resounding success in the major leagues; he is a wonderfully fun player. Let’s just cross our fingers that he doesn’t do too much damage against the Yankees.
