Welcome to SB Nation FanPulse, a survey of fans across MLB. Each week, we send 30 polls to plugged in fans from each team. Yankees fans, sign up HERE to join FanPulse.
The season has not gotten off to a good start for the Yankees. Over the team’s first six games, they own a 2-4 record. The club dropped back-to-back series to the Orioles and the Tigers, two franchises deep into rebuilds. On top of all that, a whopping ten players rest on the injured list for the Yankees. That will grow to eleven assuming Troy Tulowitzki joins the ranks.
This combination of losing and injuries resulted in a frustrated fan base, and manager Aaron Boone has received the brunt of the criticism.

For context, the Boone approval rating dropped by 28% this week. The overall confidence in the team shrank as well. Last week it stood at 91%. This week? 76%.
It’s not all gloom and doom for Yankees fans, though. Across baseball, FanPulse respondents indicated Aaron Judge as a potential MVP candidate.

In the early goings, Judge is hitting .333/.481/.381 (169 wRC+). He hasn’t even found his power stroke yet. Imagine if he combines that on-base skill with his home run swing. Hey, take any positive news that you can, friends.
