Welcome to SB Nation FanPulse, a survey of fans across MLB. Each week, we send 30 polls to plugged in fans from each team. Yankees fans, sign up HERE to join FanPulse.

Winning cures all, doesn’t it? The Yankees have won five in a row, including eight of their last 10 games. They sit just two games behind the Tampa Bay Rays for the top spot in the AL East.

As a result, fans have expressed more optimism regarding the team. Per SB Nation’s FanPulse, 53% of respondents said they have confidence in the direction of the Yankees. That’s up from 36% last week, but still falls well below the first week’s total of 91%.

Aaron Boone also saw his approval ratings go up to 44%. That’s a 10% increase from last week. Boone still has a ways to go to reach his Week One high (84%), but he’s heading in the right direction.

This week’s national question addressed the topic of pitchers deliberately throwing at batters. The majority of respondents find it to never be okay.
